On 15 Feb 2005, The University's Academic Board approved a new policy, "Student Plagiarism: Course Work Policy and Procedure".

Part C.8.1 of this policy, "Preventing Plagiarism - Compliance Statements", states that,

"All students are required to submit a signed statement of compliance with all Work submitted to the University for assessment, presentation or publication. A statement of compliance must be in the form of:

a. a University assignment cover sheet;
b. a University electronic form; or
c. a University written statement;

certifying that no part of the Work constitutes a breach of this Policy."


At time of writing (August 2005), FOLT is investigating the best way to implement this policy within My eLearning, with reference to the ongoing discussions at Senate and Academic Board level.
