Scholarships

At the University of Sydney, we offer a wide variety of scholarships to talented, creative and involved students to reward them for academic achievement and to assist them in obtaining their education. We believe that an education should be available to those who deserve it, regardless of their financial means.

University-wide scholarships

A large number of scholarships are offered to students enrolling in any faculty of the University. For some, students will need to fill out an application; others are awarded automatically.

Many of these scholarships reward achievements in the community as well as academic performance. The University also offers equity scholarships to those students who have faced disadvantage during their schooling.

From 2008, the University will also offer the University of Sydney National Scholarship. This scholarship is designed to support students who are applying to the University of Sydney through UAC, are from outside of NSW and the ACT, and are recipients of a University of Sydney Outstanding Achievement Scholarship, University of Sydney Scholarship, or a University of Sydney Access Scholarship.
