Australian Teaching and Learning Council Awards
The Australian Learning and Teaching Council (formerly the Carrick Institute for Learning and Teaching in Higher Education) has five types of awards:
- Citations for Outstanding Contrributions to Student Learning
- Awards for Programs that Enhance Learning
- Teaching Awards
- Prime Minister's Award
- Career Achievement Award

2007 Awards
Congratulations to the ACELL team, Dr Simon Barrie , Dr Adrian George, A/Prof Scott Kable (University of Sydney), A/Prof Bob Bucat (University of Western Australia), A/Prof Mark Buntine, Prof Geoff Crisp, Mr Justin Read (University of Adelaide) and Dr Ian Jamie (Macquarie University), who won in the 'Educational Partnerships & Collaborations with Other Organisations' category of the 2007 Awards. Their internationally recognised project 'Advancing Chemistry by Enhancing Learning in the Laboratory' , which is a collaboration between the Universities of Sydney, Adelaide, Macquarie and Western Australia, has contributed to improved student learning in university laboratories throughout the country.
