Workshop on Indigenous Student Recruitment and Retention
In response to decreasing indigenous student recruitment and retention, the Learning and Teaching Portfolio held a Workshop on Wed. 21st February 2007 to commence a strategic response.
When enquirers feel confident that their learning will be actively supported, they are more likely to enroll;
when students are supported throughout study, learning is enhanced;
when students identify as a member of a community, they are more likely to continue their candidature;
when students feel certain of what they need to do to administer their study, their satisfaction with their learning experience is increased.
