Sport: Top three performance at the Australian University Games

The University finished third at the 2008 Australian University Games, behind Monash and Melbourne.

Despite a surge in the team events on the final day, Sydney University couldn't peg back Monash and Melbourne for the overall title, which they were defending. Sydney University is the most successful university in the history of the Games, having won the Overall Champion title eight times, from 1995-96 and 1999-2003 inclusive, as well as 2007.
