ERA Journal Ranking Review

The ARC has released the current version of the Research Outlet Rankings and has called for responses in July. These rankings will form an important component of the ERA process for all panels. Each university is permitted to make one response on these rankings. The University of Sydney will coordinate its responses through a panel of senior academics who will combine the suggestions for forwarding to the ARC.

To ensure the University of Sydney has the best possible representation to the ARC on the draft journal rankings the following process is to be used to collect staff input on any proposed changes:

Following BRIEF Instructions for PC Users only

  1. Ensure the Macro Security is at appropriate level (medium)
  2. Enter your details under “Reviewer details”
  3. Filter the list according to the appropriate 2 digit FOR codes
  4. Enter your comments/recommendations for each relevant journal by clicking on the journal name, completing the pop-up box that appears, and saving any changes
  5. Save your work often
  6. Complete the review by clicking on the “Modifications Report” button, then copying and saving the Modifications Report worksheet into a new spreadsheet. Please save it with format ERA-Rev-dept-surname.xls
  7. Determine who is the appropriate 2 digit FOR Co-ordinator and submit your copied Modifications Report spreadsheet to this co-ordinator before the 24th July
