Matriculation Prizes

The University of Sydney offers a number of prizes for general proficiency in the HSC. No application is required. The Scholarships & Prizes Office check admission and enrolment information and notify all successful students in May.

For: General proficiency at HSC at entrance to University, tenable in the Faculty of Arts
How much: $500
How long: 3 years

One scholarship is available each year

For: General proficiency at HSC at entrance to University. The successful student must enrol in at least 12 credit points in either First Year Biology, Geology or Geography in Faculty of Science
How much: $400
How long: 2 years

One scholarship is available each year

For: Proficiency in Mathematics at HSC; must enrol in 12 credit points of Junior Mathematics in Faculties of Arts, Science or Engineering
How much: $600
How long: 1 year

One scholarship is available each year

For: Proficiency in Mathematics at HSC; must enrol in 12 credit points of Junior Mathematics in Faculties of Arts, Science or Engineering

For: Proficiency in French at HSC; the successfull student must enrol in French A101
