As an international student you should be aware of the following:

Support services

The International Student Support Unit (ISSU) provides counselling, pre-departure advice, orientation and returning home programs for international students. Peer support, trips and activities and a Families Program are also available.

If you have a disability you may be eligible to access services offered by the University of Sydney, through Disability Services. To access this assistance you must first register with Disability Services, preferably before you commence study. It is important to note that the assistance and services that you receive at your home institution may not be the same as those available in Australia.

We recommend you contact a Disability Services Officer prior to accepting your offer to ensure you are fully aware of the registration process requirements and the assistance available at the University of Sydney.

Accessible Accommodation

Of fundamental importance to your success and well being as a student at the University of Sydney is finding a suitable place to live.

The University is able to assist you to find accommodation and offers a wide range of accommodation options.

Off-campus accommodation is another popular option for students and the University Accommodation Service can assist you to find off-campus accommodation through a database listing private share, rental and full board accommodation or by providing information about student hostels and residences. The Accommodation Service can also assist with temporary accommodation information.

For information about accessible accommodation or if you have specific needs for accommodation we reccomend you contact an Accommodation Officer directly.

The University is able to assist students at all its campuses, including Cumberland and Camden, to find suitable accommodation
