Counselling Service

The Counselling Service is set up to assist students with any issue, problem or concern that may be interfering with your studies. Counselling is free and confidential. Walk in appointments are available every day from 11am to 3pm at the Camperdown campus, or you can phone to make and appointment. Counselling is available at Cumberland campus, the SCA and the Conservatorioum of Music.

All staff at the Counselling Service aim to help students fulfil their academic, individual and social goals. Counselling can be provided for issues ranging from study related problems, procrastination and perfectionism, through to interpersonal difficulties, such as family problems, relationship difficulties and feelings of isolation and loneliness. Grief issues, sexuality and mental health problems are also common among students at uni.

Students often experience a range of problems all at once, and speaking with an objective and professional counsellor can help students to see their problems more clearly.

Counsellors work with students to develop immediate strategies to cope with problems, and to move towards changing habits for future success.

Counselling is Free and Confidential.
